What is To-BiTE™?
The To-BiTE™ offers quite a revolutionary method of performing tonsillectomies! The To-BiTE™ is a new kind of clamp for tonsillectomy with bipolar coagulation. It combines four functions in one enabling the surgeon to coagulate, grasp, dissect and extract fumes or blood with only one instrument.
In addition to a more comfortable working method, the To-BiTET also offers enhanced security and reduced patient morbidity through bipolar coagulation as well as time saving during the surgery. When used with loup lenses or a microscope, dissection with the To-BiTET is particularly effective: It becomes easier, faster and safer to isolate and coagulate blood vessels before they retract into the muscle. All these factors combined promise shorter OR times, less post-operative pain, hardly any bleeding during surgery and the possible reduction of post-operative bleeding.
